1️⃣ National Handloom Day: It is to increase an awareness about the advantages of handloom to the youth. On this day, let celebrate by support handloom weavers and encourage everyone to shop handloom products.


History:

On seventh Aug 2015, this is the first time when PM Narendra Modi introduced National Handloom Day at the University of Madras' Centenary Hall. Most significantly, handlooms are eco-friendly friendly, and feasible method to get by. The handloom or textile industry gives 5 million occupations in rural India.

2️⃣ National Lighthouse Day: A lighthouse is a tower or building like structure intended to emit light using lamps and lenses. It is used as an aid to navigation for pilots on sea or inland waterways.


History:

It is celebrated in US which gives honor to the beacon of light that lighthouses emit. The United States Congress approved an act for the “Establishment and Support of Lighthouse, Beacons, Buoys, and Public Piers.” on August 7, 1789.

History:

A year ago, an official announcement made publicly about his day. The Town of Newmarket's Recreation Department is the official organizer of "National Water Balloon Day"
